Job Title: Sales Engineer (Electricity Metering for Energy Management)
Hours:
40 hours week
Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Lunch 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm daily
Salary: Range £28 - £40K depending on experience. Benefits: Pension & Profit Share
Holidays: 22 days + bank holidays rising to 25 days after 2 years service.
Job Description
ND Metering Solutions require an additional experienced Sales Engineer with a proven track record in selling to industry and commerce, in at least one of the following areas: Energy Management, Systems Integration. The successful candidate will sell sub-metering and energy management solutions to systems integrators, panel builders and end users as well as developing a market for energy management solutions for SME’s.
In addition to a technical background in the electrical field, highly developed IT skills would be extremely advantageous with respect to selling our web enabled energy management solutions and maximizing sales through website and email as would knowledge of communications protocols.
The position is available due to rapid growth.
Office based (therefore no company car) with occasional travel, the sales region is UK and world-wide. The position is based in Bradford UK. Help with relocation is available.

General Description:
A professional engineer, working as part of a small R&D team involved in the design and manufacture of intelligent electricity monitoring and energy management systems.The multi-faceted role will involve mechanical and electronic hardware design and embedded C for micro-controller based products for commercial and industrial markets. Design must be carried out to international standards meeting rapidly changing sales targets.
The role requires the management of projects from concept to completion including the following tasks:
- Product specification.
- Component sourcing.
- Analogue/digital hardware design.
- Schematic drafting.
- PCB layout.
- Maintenance of Bills of Materials and associated production documentation.
- Embedded C development and documentation.
- Prototype building/testing.
- Technical authoring.
- Production engineering.
- Development/supervision of test/calibration systems.
- Internal/external product support.
- Management of product approvals to international standards.
Key skills and experience required includes:
- Knowledge of three-phase power systems.
- Analogue/digital electronic hardware design/development (micro-controllers, precision amplifiers, power supplies, discreet circuits, interfaces etc).
